In everything there is always something about the person writing it. An about the author section, the preface or introduction that lets the readers know why they are doing what they are doing. This is my 'about me' part for this website. I'm a junior at Bemidji State University(BSU), though I keep boasting how I will technically be a senior after this fall semester by merit of the amount of credits I have completed. I have been published only once before, though that was probably a mistake when looking back at all the errors there are in that piece, it was in BSU's new voices 2007.
The reason for this website is for the class on intern to publishing I. And this class is crucial to the fact that I'm going to school because I want to get into publishing and help get books out to people. Like when I gave my sister a book to read that I thought that she would like and she ended up loving it, it was the greatest joy that I could feel and accomplishment. I want to continue feeling that and help people access books, and the best place for me to do that would be in a publishing company. Or helping as an editor to the authors who could need my help.
But personally I enjoy writing fantasy, there is just something that allows my imagination to roam free that I like. I also like reading it.. Though I do like fictional books like that of phantom of the opera. I am aware that it takes a bit for the books to get where they are. To the point that they can stand without the author standing there explaining what they wrote...
Here's hoping I can help the books get to that point.
